Fresh water fill overflowing

Finally checked this one off my list! I knew what had to be done. When filling my fresh water tank it overflows at the fill hole quickly. My (lazy) solution, was to just turn down the water flow to a near trickle and let it fill at it's own pace. Sure it was an annoyance, but I had other pressing issues and never got to it.

When I first purchased, I had checked the vent tubing at the tank and it was slightly bent but IMO should have been able to vent. Yesterday, I pushed a coat hanger into the outside vent hole and it stopped at about 6 inches! Threw on a new hose and an elbow at the exterior vent. Thank you Thor QC!
