Def blinking red will derate performance and prevent starting depending on the def issue.
Have you read the fault code? The code will tell you what’s wrong.
Also, which engine light is on, amber or red? If none you may have a stuck float at empty preventing you from starting. If it won’t start you might not get a code or engine light.
