Freightliner uses three different wiring harness for the chassis lights: front, body and rear. First check to see if the bulb socket is getting power. If it is not the the chances are you have a corroded pin int the chassis to rear cap connector. Ford puts that connector paired with the 7 pin trailer connector on the left bottom of the rear cap. It is held in-place with a couple Adel clamps.
