Wink New Member 2017 Challenger 37LX

Hi everyone I just purchased a 2017 Challenger 37LX with 20k on it. Getting it ready for a 3.4k trip and 2-3 month stay. Heading to New England. Going to look for a new home. Selling this one just outside of Los Angeles. My 1st MH second RV. My first RV was a 1972 Dodge factory bubble top camper van for 40 years. NO joke! Did not use it the last 15 though. Wife and I did hotels on our outings.

Finding what all the switches (unmarked) and nuances (one that do not appear to do anything) in this Challenger is something. Owners manual does not help much, and I am having difficulty surfing these forums.

First off I can put up with the pitching from right to left going up a driveway or bump. But the constant movement of the steering wheel going down the highway from our purchase point to home was tiring and irritating.

So I got her (Bella Vita) all full of water. all 260 gallons. Filled up the basement with as much weight I had around (concrete and propane tanks, wood ramps etc) got Bella weighed. She came in at 1600 under the 24k GVRW. I looked up the Michelin tire pressure. 73f 70r and had her aligned (that was a $140 for a measurement with a Stanley tape measure). At least he used the 3/4 " job.

Did not fix the constant steering correction but it is a little better. Probably be even better with empty Black & Grey tanks.

Working 2 days a week and getting ready to sell the house, I do not have much time to work on her, but I have to B4 we leave.

Going to order the Safe-t-steer (RoadMaster RSSA out of stock for 6-8 weeks) and the trac bar this AM. When received see if I can get one of those mobile RV guys to Install and do the CHF front and rear. And look at the Radio/ back up camera. It only goes on when the Generator is on What's with that?

Any advice would be appreciated. Like how does all that water anti freezing mechanism work and do the tank heaters really work and how to check them. Is that really a step light on the wall in the step area.(the switch does not do anything) and how do you keep the step from continually retracting and extending. (I'm going to wear the dam thing out)
