Try it from the bottom up. Start from where your dump connection is. You should have a Y where one side comes through a gray handle valve and the other comes from a black handle valve. Follow the pipe from the gray handle and there, voila, you will find the gray tank.
Unless you want to tear up the bathroom floor, you'll probably have to work on it from underneath anyway.
