Yes, we are lightly loaded and try not to fill tanks all of the time. I have experimented with faster speeds, slower speeds. My engine only has 6K miles on it.
I run typically 63 MPH at a 2100 - 2300 RPM range, in 6th gear on I-95 for example. I don't do rapid takeoffs, and occasional passing. This is the sweet spot for this RV. Smooth running, low air noise. comfortable ride. The truckers hate me... but i aint speeding up to 70+ mph to please them....that is another topic....
The FORD F-53 fuel mileage and MPG readout are pretty accurate. Sometimes i see 8.9 mpg but typically in the low 8's.
Remember, this is for planning purposes only. The object is to not return home with very few gals of fuel left in the tank or ever run out of fuel. so with an 80 gal tank, each line tells me 20 gals.
I try to stretch it alittle and gas up at home with my Parkers card at $2.69 a gal.
