I agree with what dk suggested. You already have two 120volt legs to the pedestal. May as well put in a combo box with 50, 30 and 20amp outlets.

Your electrician was probably thinking "dryer outlet" ?? Unless you're familiar with RV electrical, it can be a strange animal. Well, he learned something today!!
