We like Harvest Hosts. It's a bit expensive. But it pays for itself with 3 to 5 nights of camping.
They don't always have suitable locations where we're going. But over the summer, we usually stay with them for about 10 nights.
What I really like the most about Harvest Hosts is the camping spots. They're often off the beaten path. There are not very many people camping near you. (I think the closest to other campers we've ever been would be 2 to 300 yards away. Great privacy. And the views and learning about the businesses is priceless.
If you are a golfer - I would highly recommend Harvest Hosts. They have 428 courses. It's a great experience. Park the rig where they tell me. Go for a round (no discounts). Have a nice dinner at the club house. And then retire to lawn chairs over looking a golf course with post dinner drinks in hand.
What we don't like. It's boondocking - no hookups. There are usually no firepits or picnic tables or any of those kinds of services.
