I would not take it personal. It’s human nature to be less compassionate towards people who take known risks, and then things go south. Similar examples are people who drive without seatbelts, or smoke cigarettes. Because they have the option to wear a seatbelt or not smoke, there is generally less sympathy when they get hurt or sick. It may not be right or fair, but it is the way society works. I would guess unvaccinated are now in a similar situation.

The problem I see is that people always think it’s not going to happen to them; and statistically they have a good chance of being correct. Just like most drivers without seatbelts get home safely, most unvaccinated people don’t die of Covid. Still, it’s sad to see a young person who is dying in hospital urging family members to get vaccinated.
