THOR #24826
Talking Glad to be here!

Greetings

We are now the owners of a 2016 Thor 24.1. Due to some serious health issues, I am no longer able to drive. We had a 40' DP, but my wife didn't feel like she couold rive it. So we sold it and bought our 24.1. We needed the twin beds to care for me. My wife is comfortable with this size. She is just now getting adjusted to the smaller storage space. Howevre, she has just cut back on things we never used before!

With a son-in-law who was a Ford mechanic and now owns his own shop, it made sense to go with the V-10. We can keep maintenance costs in check, as it won't be that long before she will be on her own.

Having pancreatic cancer and now under hospice care, we are hoping to take a few short trips with the time I have left. We just received our Handi-Lift that will help me get into the RV. She can also use it as a wine lift as we visit wineries! She just can't come back with as much as she did i our DP.

So far this forum looks like it will be a good palce for questions and information we might have with our Thor product. As an aside, we've had several different RV's over the years. We started out in the early 90's with a couple of class C's then went to a fifth wheel, and progressed to a 5th wheel toy hauler. After having been in a wreck that totalled both the TH and truck, we took the insurance $ and bought the DP. Had it for the past 5+ years and seeing much of the USA, we decided that we wanted a few more good memories. So now we have one my wife can drive.

Anyhow, thanks for being here and putting up with my rambling! We are glad to have found this forum! Cheers friends!
