I replaced the air mattress in the drop down bunk with a custom tri-fold foam one. Its 6" thick with 3" memory foam on the top and 3" high density foam on the bottom. Now its the most comfortable mattress in the camper LOL. Picked it up from
Foam by Mail.
Granted the 6" of foam is too tall to keep up there all the time (the lip is only about 1"). When the bunk is all the way up the mattress rides in the back...
