Spousal unit usually just uses a clear glass of water on the counter top and tells me what side is low/high.

We really don't care. We're trying to learn to care. It's becoming a small ritual more than a necessity.
And
My 24.1 is inherently nose down by a couple of inches when the frame is level.

Yeah we sometimes use the closet door LOL. You also put the width and length of the RV in levelmate.
We've used water in the sink as well.
We don't mind too much--as long as the fridge can run.
Yeah our 24.1 also sits nose low.
