Yes, I just measured. The holes are 16" (400mm) wide and 8" (200mm) high.
Now I get it. The adapter bracket does not have threads to accept the bolts

My first thought was to drill new holes but I would never be able to line things up to make that happen. It would be an exercise in frustration for me.
Any thoughts on my Velcro/Gorilla tape idea? The TV weighs less than 15 pounds.
