Dump Pipe Location

We just bought our first RV, a Chateau 29G, and I took it to a mechanic to add a solar panel and a Sani-Con grinder. The mechanic tells me that the outlet to dump the sewer is way too low. He can't install the grinder, and says that if it's not raised, just going over a speed bump could take the pipe out. It does look low, but, not having any experience with RV's, I thought it was normal. Does anyone know if this is a common issue with this model? Thanks!
