We would normally stop for fuel, rest breaks, etc and I would start it. Did not rev it, just let it idle for a few minutes.
I didn't worry about speed, as my normal high end was at 50-60. Used freeways only when absolutely necessary as we like the secondary roads for more scenic trips.
BTW our son gave the Grand Vitara to our grandson after they bought a new SUV. It now has 207,000+ miles! Has replaced breaks, rebuilt the transmission and normal maintenance. Needless to say it has served the family well!
