2015 Freedom Elite - Alignment

This is not a new topic, but I'd like to add my own experience. I have a 2015 Freedom Elite 28H. Owned it a year and it has 8K miles on it now. No abnormal tire wear noted, but based on this forum, I took it in to a ford truck dealer this week and spent $137 to get the alignment checked.

It was off at all three points of adjustment and took two adjusters to get it into spec. On top of that, the front bearings were loose causing the tires to wobble a bit.

Its quite obvious to me that Thor does not re-check the alignment after they complete their manufacturing process. The new weight distribution changes the alignment Ford put in as a bear chassis.

If you have never had an alignment done, get it done, because its very likely off. This causes abnormal tire wear and poor handling.

I installed the heavy sway bars last year and the improvement in handling was amazing. I can't understand why this modification shouldn't be made by Thor themselves as part of the manufacturing process. Its certainly a safety issue.

I am seriously considering filing a complaint with federal transportation safety board, claiming Thor is selling their RV's without obvious safety updates.

Love the RV, but........!
