Hey Gritz.... hope all is well.
If you have the Xantrex Freedom X 2000 like I do in my Magnitude, it has a built-in ATS. When you are on shore or generator power, the ATS bypasses the inverter and the AC goes directly to the fridge and other outlets in that circuit.
When you lose shore or generator power, the inverter kicks in automatically and then powers the fridge and output circuit using the house batteries.
