Swallowed that same pill. Only difference was I ordered my Kar Kaddy SS and assembled it. I was excited and in a hurry to load my Malibu that I did not Push the ramps up and lock them (I had tightened the bolts too tight). It also did about 1K damage. I too wish I had read the instructions more carefully and had taken my time loading it for the first time.
