Thor should at least fix the damage if it is still under warranty (or, IMHO, even if it isn't).
It might not actually be a design problem. Maybe the door jam was not attached as well as it should be or they mistakenly used an inferior part.
In any case, hopefully, the fix will be stronger than the original construction and keep the door jam from bending (and the door from opening too far).
I like the way the door opens like that on our new Thor. I recall it being hard to open the door and exit the RV my parents once owned, especially when carrying things. The door automatically swinging out ninety degrees surprised me at first, but is much more convenient. I will watch for any issues with the door jam.
