I haven't experienced the grumpiness you have observed from the site team members. In fact, 16ACE21 is usually spot on with his technical advice.
Yes, there are some things that I would prefer the site team would allow: excerpts from Thor's electrical diagrams and cuss words disguised as #&%@ for example. Other forums under the Elite Cafemedia banner allow them, so it seems like it is just a Thorforums thing.
