Really wanted an updated version of a VW camper bus from the old days. Looked online and found the
VW California and the
Mercedes Marco Polo. I was
hooked! Then started making calls, and
nobody I spoke with had ever
heard of them.
"Isn't that the swimming pool game?" were some replies. Finally, one cat informed me he'd
heard of the Marco Polo, but those (along with the ironically named
California) were available
only in Europe. Further searches revealed the futility of attempting to import one to the U.S.
So ... fished around on the interwebz a bit more and discovered
B-Class RVs, discovering those were as close as I'd get to a camper van.
The wife and I stumbled upon a
Thor Scope 18M while at an RV sales place, I like the size, she liked what was inside, so they got a sale.
Heh, guess I'm an RV guy now ... though I still prefer my motorcycle.
