Once, in the Keys, we turned on both units due to no shade and 100 degrees (with 2 AC's in a 30 footer, our unit gets chilly even in triple digit temperatures).

Bingo! We do this all the time. Bugsie loves the A/C. They will sleep most of the time anyway...especially if it's good-n-cold inside. Just park as far away from regular foot traffic as you can. I always crack a roof vent as well...JIC. This will allow any rising heat to escape if A/C were to go out.
