Phoenix sucks, Heber is like Vermont, Sedona is meh so just look as you drive through. The town itself is useless.
Wapatki national park is mostly driven and the ruins are within 100yards of parking.

X2 on this… having lived in Phx for 10 years never found the appeal of Sedona or Prescott or some of those places. Nice to drive through but that’s about it. If all you are going to do at the Grand Canyon is look over the edge like Clark Griswold it’s a lot driving for about 20 mins of looking. If you can get down to the floor of the Canyon or raft the Colorado that’s the best way to see it. After driving through west Texas, NM,AZ and Utah by the time you get to southern ID you will be over the desert and not much to see down there. Best part of Idaho is the northern part.
