However, my concern would be the bolted clamp loosening, and what I did with mine was, drill and tap all my rims to accept the bolt, then put a nylon locking nut on it to help hold the fixture in place.
It's a lot of work to do yourself, but my own self satisfaction of a no failure in the future is well worth the effort.
