Your unit is a bit bigger than ours (10' longer on the F-53 frame, a few lbs heavier) thus my experience may not be relevant.

We pull about 4,000 lbs behind our Axis (which weighs in at 11,000 lbs) when we bring a toad. This amounts to about 2/3 of what your total weight would be. As far as the V-10's performance: It just eats it up asking for more. It does get thirsty though at faster speeds; keeping the speed down in the 60s does make a big difference. We've had no issues getting into and out of tight spaces with a toad in tow. The brakes on the chassis are great as well.. the Axis can stop on a dime.

Our previous camper was a 5th wheel which we pulled around with an F-450 with the V-10 as well (that setup also totaled around 15,000 lbs going down the road but was about 45' long). The V-10 here had no issues pulling the combination either. I could spin the F-450's tires (SRW) with the 5th wheel hitched up.
