I was one of the people who had this happened a while ago. Called the water pump supplier tech line. They said the problem is not high water pressure - the check valve will handle a lot of pressure. Problem is probably debris in the check valve ; told me to disconnect the external pressure and run some water thru using the pump. I did that and problem went away- has not returned in over a year.
