Vegas has a small filter in-line to the water supply tank. Any debris will come from the tank - anything coming from shore will be upstream of the check valve. My filter showed a lot of junk from the manufacturing process - small pieces of plastic, etc . Unfortunately, my filter cracked and leaked ( stress from the hard line plumbing- I have put a flexible line in the system) , so was removed at the time if the incident ( still have not replaced .....). I suspect this debris is an " infant failure" and will go away as the motorhome gets older - which probably explains why I have not had a repeat even though I have not replaced the filter.

If you keep getting recurrences, I would check filter, then replace the pump !!
