If you are looking to do some nice panels, I have had many panels made by a small design shop called "Front Panel Express". I have no association with them, other than a customer (
Front Panel Express:Â*Front Panel Design Software and CAD Conversion Service).
The way it works is you download a panel design software and create your panel, sizing it and labeling switches, or whatever else you want to add. Then in about a week, they send you your custom panel.
The nice thing is they have an order quantity of one.
However, you have to do a little research to get the panel designed properly. For example, you will need to find the spec sheet for the switches you are using, as there will typically be a recommended cut out dimensions for panel mounting.
But here is the result:
I had this panel created for my RV's antenna amp and coax switch box so I could turn off all 12V power for boondocking purposes. Not including the switches, the panel itself cost about $24.
There is another place that will do panels a bit cheaper (10-20%), but I have not tried them. hey have changed their name a couple of times, and even though it is a German website, they do have a US operation (
Front panel, custom faceplates, cnc milled metal | FrontPanelExpert) so that might be another avenue.
