In my Challenger the 110 outlet by the passenger's seat is hot when connected to shore power or while the generator is running. That outlet is not connected to the inverter so if mama needs to charge her Surface while travelling the generator must be running.
My coach does not have a 12VDC outlet by the passenger so I can't answer that part.
