OK, we were thinking about an impromptu short local trip in the
but I noticed that the trim along the bottom edge of the front bulkhead looked a little "funny", just behind the passenger side door. I wish that I had grabbed a shot of it before....
So Thank you Thor, looks like I have a project instead of an RV to use....
I did a little exploration and found lots of nice rotten wood
It seems that I have a screw head poking through, just under the overhead to bulkhead transition trim
Turns out This is from a screw that held the inner upholstered panel, and it was just a bit to long.... nice work from the factory!
So I pulled the inside panel off and found rot up much higher than i had hoped
But interesting it's not from that screw!
In this photo the awl is through the screw hole. Seems dry and perfect!
As you can see it's a fair bit above the rot.
I have to do some more digging, but the leak seems to be coming from this location, just about at the bottom of the triangular piece, where the edge seam trim just hits the vertical
I'll get back to in later to see if I can locate the leak and fix it somehow, then I'm thinking I'll look into some penetrating epoxy for a repair perhaps.
