i slide the tire carrier into hitch then i slide tow bar into carrier. my tip out is in rear so when i get to camp ground i let tire down. very easy.the tire and wheel is very heavy even for being 16''. i hauled it in back of my jeep patriot but if i went any where without jeep i had no place for spare. placing spare under coach is a bad idea unless you or a tire changer can bench press a heavy tire and wheel. the roadmaster carrier i pull pin with one hand then drop or raise tire with other hand.
