I should have been MORE clear. I am talking independently owned RV haulers and Hotshotters. I did a survey that is undeniable when I left SoCal in May to go to the DRV factory. We traveled along one of the main routes they travel. NOT counting big company trucks. The RAM's far outnumbered the GM's and fords. I quit counting when coming into Elkhart since it would have been easy to duplicate a truck. The interesting fact is most of the Fords were 7.3's. I only counted trucks with DOT numbers. RAM's are not cheaper but they are the only one to offer a 6sp manual trans. Now that they have the Aisin (a true MD transmission) they are going to that trans with good results.

When the money is coming out of the independently owned pocket they want something that lasts for one but also is easiest to work on if needed.

Same has been happening in the full timers groups.
