We have a 25.2 here, however, the smoke detector is in the same place, on the ceiling by the drop down bed and the antenna control.

And, from what we see the combo detector (ours is in the bedroom on the reverse side of the bathroom wall) IS powered by house voltage.

The smoke detector is powered by a self contained 9v battery
