My #2 advice, as was mentioned elsewhere, is checklists. We use one for trip preparation, another for packing, and one for departure. After decades of RVing, we would still forget things if we didn't have lists to check against.

There are some phone aps with RV checklists, or any list could be put on a phone notepad ap.
