Not the longest, but one of most memorable, was a trip to Mammoth Cave in KY. My son was driving. He went with the GPS and got off 65 south way too early. It was dark. We were lost! The wife and I, my son; his wife and two grandkids spent the night literally in the middle of nowhere. It was amazing! The next morning we discovered we would have to backtrack about 45 miles to Mammoth cave or we could take the Green River Ferry. The Ferry operator let us on(normally no RV's) because he wasn't busy. The grandkids loved it and I put that down as an experience I never anticipated.
