trailer brake controller
I have a 2017 Thor Freedom Elite, Class C, E450. I asked Thor Motor Coach why this model was not listed on their web site. It is made for Camping World which is only available thru them. This is why it does not show up on their web site. This model is not wired with a brake controller. For the brake controller, there should be a blue wire coiled up under the dash by or above the steering column. It would have not plug on it, just a wire. This wire will run back under the coach to just behind the gas tank and end. You will have to run from there back to the plug and the connect it. I inquired with Camping World about installing a trailer brake controller. The model that was recommended was a Primus IQ. Cost of unit plus installation would be $495.00. That amount to me appears to be too much. What do you think and is it too much of an effort to install by a novice like me.
