The tires on the Axis are 225/75/16 -- even my Chevrolet Tahoe and Silverado are shoe'd with 265/65/18 wheels and tires carrying 2/3 less weight than the Axis. It would seem to me if the much heavier Axis had more ample footing it might be more amenable to better handling. Please tell me where this is wrong. There are many things about the Axis that I like but if I can't make it behave better, the enjoyment factor (driving) will go away pretty quickly.

Congratulations! Let me comment about your thoughts on tire size. Remember, your chassis is actually an E450, not a pure truck chassis, so I wouldn't get too concerned that you have undersized tires. I will say that you should get your vehicle professionally weighed and the service people will recommend your proper tire pressures. This will make a huge difference on how it drives. Your alignment and the Saf-T-Plus should have taken care of the need for any other improvements. Just wondering if you have taken to your unit to an RV service center that is actively engaged in your concerns too. I had the same things done to our 24.1 when we first brought it home and they made a huge improvement. Remember, as some people have been told on this forum, these are not sedans and will never handle like one.
