Depending on the sophistication of your on-board charging system, I would opt for using a battery maintainer. Some on-board charges can over charge and boil the electrolyte from your batteries. Since I have AGM coach batteries, I use a maintainer specifically for AGM batteries and a different maintainer for the engine battery. I also have a knife switch to completely remove the coach batteries from the system.
