UPDATE:
Well it certainly was worthwhile to question those charges. We gave them a copy of our friends itemized bill when we picked up our MH. The rep said he would ask the store manager about it and he left. About 20 minutes later he came back, re-did everything in the computer, and reduced our charges almost $400 to closer mirror what our friends were charged. The only thing close to an explanation was that they were giving us the internet sales prices and still only charging us regular labor, rather than their usual practice of charging $40 more per hour for labor if you are having something installed that is on sale via the internet.

I guess the good news is the tech that did our work did a good job.
