My son is a master mechanic with the largest Ford dealer in the state, and he also is a Hunter certified alignment specialist.
When I showed him your post, he would recommend to find a different shop for getting you chassis work done!
The F53 chassis has a recirculating ball steering system that has no defined center. Safe-T-Plus, Steer Safe (my son installed this in my motorhome) and other similar devices create such a center feel and allow you to drive more relaxed. Safe-T-Plaus and some other systems are also steering stabilizers (the Steer Safe is not), and help to reduce road surface influences on your steering.
I plan to install a steering stabilizer in addition to my Steer Safe system, and my son is all for it!
