Mine wasn't sealed along the bottom of the shower wall either and when I mentioned it at PDI I was told they leave it that way from the factory so that when it gets wet it will dry easier! I wasn't satisfied with that answer and had the dealer seal it. I've only used the shower once in 19 mos - so not worried about it for now.
