Acadia National Park has been mentioned but let me mention that the park is not just one piece. Besides Mt. Desert Island where Bar Harbor is located, there is the Schoodic Peninsula just outside Winter Harbor ME. Schoodic Woods Campground is a nice place for RVs and there are nice biking paths there as well as hiking trails. The Island around Bar Harbor can be crowded and very busy. The Peninsula is much quieter and laid back.
