The instructions on my 2014 Ford Focus say to disconnect the battery, so I installed a quick disconnect. However, disconnecting the battery causes the transmission to go back into its "learning mode" which I think is part of my issue with its shifting performance. I'd love to leave the battery connected. You say it is safe/okay on your Fiesta--but could there be a difference for my Focus? It has that new 6 speed "automatic" that is really two 3 speed manuals with "smart" clutches.
Any thoughts from anyone?
