My daughter noticed it was so dark in the shower after sunset. I placed this light in the shower area and it really helped. I ran a wire from the bedroom lights (through the A/C ducts) so the bedroom switch turns it off - it is only 12 volts but I did not want any accidents with wet fingers. (It does have it's own local switch as well.)
