Homosassa St Pk is a manatee rehab facility. The wild ones come in to be near the springs in the winter, but the rehab ones are there all year. There is a building with displays that teach you all about the manatees. So much more than just seeing them in the spring.
The windowed room that you walk down into in the spring has always had hundreds of snook in resting in the spring current, along with sheepshead and other species. Besides the water birds, including flamingos and roseate spoonbills, there is a reptile building and the raptors. Great for kids of all ages!
