Unfortunately I know of several RV'ers that have had awnings extend while driving in high winds. Different brands seem susceptible. I have been in horrific winds, when I had a very large DP, and fortunately didn't have any problems, other than it was a lot of work to drive in a straight line. Have been in only moderate winds with the current Gemini, can only hope the awning can resist high winds, when the time comes. Looking at the awning, there do not seem to be any points to install clips or cable ties, at least that I can see.
