I sleep on that side and bump in to the valance a lot too, PIA! I may remove our valance if I ever get the coach back from service, supposed to call tomorrow! I let Myra sleep on the other side since she needs a step stool to get in the bed, needless to say she's vertically challenged! Good idea Jerry!!!
