I will post on the other side of the issue.... I currently have been renting mine out for 9 months and so far my total cost of ownership has been $0 (including insurance, payment, storage and repairs). I am not saying that it hasn't had its share of headaches, but I also have it consigned thru a small business owner that has been taking a good job of the issues. With two children and a busy life I could not rationalize the costs per year for pure ownership, and my wife feels that it is still "ours" which was never the case when we were renting. I also derive pleasure from getting some of my friends (approx 25% of my rentals) involved in the RV lifestyle... I hope that maybe some day they own as well so we can go on adventures together.
