Most folks base cooling on outside temperature which is a mistake, and I will tell you that when the AC in my coach is not running the inside temp can be 10 to 15 degrees higher than the outside temp.

Thank you so much - I did not know there was so much background until I did as you said and searched Delta T. I was obviously using the wrong search criteria. Learned a lot in the last hour or so about A/C systems! My next two steps will be to get a good temperature probe to check performance, and to replace my analog t/stat with digital.
