This morning before it got hot I opened the bed compartment containing the electronics to put the jumper back on my surge protector. Figured reinstalling the jumper would take 10 min, wrong! Following Jerry's advice I decided to reinstall the jumper, the 2 min 16 sec wait for the surge protector to kick in was to long.

I had previously taped the jumper in the bottom of the surge protector box so I wouldn't lose it, getting it back out proved to be a chore! With all the wiring in place getting to, and a hold of the tape became a real challenge. Finally, using a long surgical hemostat, I was able to get a hold of the tape and pull it up along with the jumper.

Next challenge was to get the jumper back on those two tiny pins. My eyes aren't as sharp and my hands aren't as steady as they used to be. It took numerous tries to get the jumper installed, the blue fog from my frustration was really making it difficult to see. Counting to 99 by threes and several deep breaths later I finally managed to get the jumper back in place.

I would strongly advise anyone installing a Progressive surge protector to think ahead before removing the jumper, I didn't and it caused me a lot of grief.
